Ilocos Norte – History and Culture around the corner

Ilocos Norte is a province in the northern Philippines. In the capital Laoag City, grand Paoay Church is a fusion of local and baroque architecture. Farther north, Cape Bojeador Lighthouse and the dramatic Kapurpurwan Rock Formation offer panoramic ocean views. At the province’s northern tip, the town of Pagudpud is known for its beaches, like Blue Lagoon, plus bell-shaped Timmangtang Rock and towering Kabigan Falls.

So extreme!

Reviews:

Malacanang Of The North showed me a lot about the glory of the Philippines during Marcos regime. It was well maintained. St. Augustine Church in Baccara is old and a sight to behold with its buttresses and facade, it speaks of its history. Kapurpurawan Rock Formation is just amazing and a WOW. Several windmills to look at around. Beautiful and fairly easy hike up to the Kabigan Falls is great. It was so cold during our visit.
